I love diving into a company’s financial and operational numbers and discovering what is beneath the surface; threats, treasure or both?
As your fractional CFO I can help you navigate the unknown so your business stays on course and can withstand whatever obstacles encountered.
My career which spans over 40 years in finance, accounting and operations began in 1979 when I enlisted in the U.S. Navy and became an Aviation Storekeeper. I was responsible for managing inventory items essential for naval aviation operations. I was first stationed at NAS Miramar with squadron VC-7 NAS and then in 1981 transferred to NAF Atsugi Japan Supply Support Center.
Enlisting in the Navy was the best decision I ever made, as I learned how to take risks, learn by doing, dive into tasks, and always focus on how to improve results.
I did not take the typical path to becoming a CFO as after the Navy I worked in jobs where I unloaded semi-trucks, managed a warehouse, learned to read blueprints and bids for commercial generators, plastic injection operator and bookkeeping.
Education:
While stationed in Japan Nancy attended the University of Maryland-Atsugi Division and then completed her education at Regis University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2005.
